Today I went to accompany Yusuf to a public demo, my first one since I joined the Datadyne organization. The experience was quite exciting.

The meeting was a very long meeting, but it got exciting for everyone when the project went on and the mobile devices (Palm and mobile phone in this case) were removed. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the participants (both young and old) took to the application. After passing the devices for them to see and have a feel of the devices, some of them had already gone ahead and added records to the forms displayed in the phone and sent them to the server, despite not having any prior experience of using the mobile application. This made the task of demoing them quite easy and they were very impressed by the application. They requested we set up another day where we could spend more with the training them on the application and where more people would be invited to come train how to use the system.
