Boston -- The Lemelson-MIT Program, which encourages "sustainable new solutions to real-world problems" has today awarded their $100,000 2009 Award for Sustainability to DataDyne.org co-founder Joel Selanikio, for the development and promotion of the EpiSurveyor mobile data collection system.
Dr. Selanikio: "For every aspect of public health, we need more and better data. EpiSurveyor gives anyone the ability to simply and cheaply collect data on any topic on a mobile phone -- freeing developing countries from reliance on Western consultants for their data needs."
