Guatemala's TulaSalud is working to fight against a very high maternal death rate in Guatemala's rural areas, and now they have a new tool to help them in that battle: EpiSurveyor.  They've provided us with two terrific links to show what they're doing: the first is in Spanish only, and details the use of EpiSurveyor. The second is in English and talks about TulaSalud's programs in general.

This is just another confirmation to us of the benefit of the web application model: TulaSalud heard about EpiSurveyor, and then were able to just go to www.episurveyor.org and start using it. We didn't have to train them or even talk to them, they didn't have to pay us or sign an agreement or contract. All those barriers to the use of technology, which weigh most heavily against small organizations, have been wiped away.
