DataDyne.org has a variety of different technology programs, from EpiSurveyor for field data collection to the Mobile Information Project for easy mass-messaging by SMS to an SMS-based vaccination reminder system. Binding all our projects together, however, is one clear imperative: to make essential technologies absolutely simple to use for public health practitioners and others.

We believe that making technologies like mobile data collection, data analysis, and SMS communications as easy to use as email and word-processing will truly build capacity in developing countries, eliminating much of the need for expensive technology consultants

And our Coded in Country (CIC) initiative aims to encourage development projects to spend more of their programming funding to support local "coders" (ie, programmers).
